Good luck to Lloyd Ashley Morgan who’s standing in the local election today for Hillmorton Ward in Rugby.
This was the text on his leaflet:
Introduction
My name is Lloyd Morgan and I will be standing in the local election for Hillmorton Ward. I am 66 years old and newly retired. I was born in Rugby and went to Herbert Kay Boys School (now Bilton High School) and Northlands Primary School. I enjoyed participating in rugby, football, boxing and sailing as a young man. I like to keep fit and would advise that for the community as a whole. I am a strong believer in promoting sports in schools and improving our education system as I feel it is letting our children down, especially when it comes to teaching about our glorious British history. I was bullied at school and would like to help stop bullying at any of the schools in Hillmorton Ward.
I have lived a wonderful life with a wide range of different careers on my CV. I have worked extensively in the construction industry including bricklaying and operating heavy machinery. I ran three salons when I was a hair dresser and also worked as a railway engineer. I would like to help small businesses in the area to succeed and grow as I have personal experience in that area.
I would like to be a voice for the Hillmorton community and feel that I could do a better job than the Labour, Liberal Democrat or Conservative parties who I feel have completely ruined our once great country. I can see the country falling apart and I have the energy to be one of the building blocks to help steer it back on to the straight and narrow starting with Hillmorton Ward. I will hopefully be knocking on your door for a chat soon and hope that you will vote for me.
Housing Crisis
Since the Dover crisis began, around 180k dinghy migrants have been allowed to claim asylum under the UN Refugee Convention. These people, who Labour and the Conservatives are treating as refugees, are now being prioritised for social housing. The Labour Party’s Housing minister, Angela Rayner, said that she will force every city and town in the UK to take their fare share of refugees. I will campaign to block such an attempt to house refugees in Rugby. We have more than enough people on waiting lists for social housing as it is. I say Rugby people first for housing. We are now an overcrowded country with a housing crisis, overcrowded schools and unacceptable waiting times for doctors’ appointments and NHS operations. NHPUK campaign to completely stop accepting refugees and end permanent settlement immigration.
Cleaning Up Hillmorton Ward
There is far too much litter and rubbish on the streets in the Hillmorton area. I will campaign for regular road sweepers to keep our area clean and tidy. I want more litter bins on the street for the public to dispose of their litter in a civilised way.
With large parts of Birmingham becoming very uncivilised due to rubbish and litter all over the place, we don’t want Rugby going the same way. I will be determined to clean the area up to make the people of Hillmorton feel better about their surroundings.
And this is what his leaflet actually looked like:
