Dear National Housing Party UK members and supporters,
NHPUK has gone from strength to strength in our first three years. As a political party, we’ve had some great party meetings with speakers in London, Manchester and Bristol. We are proud to announce that we will be holding a political meeting at the Veterans PTSD camp Bath in Somerset. This will be held on Saturday the 23rd of August. The camp means a lot to John Lawrence, our leader, having supported Jo and Dion (owners of the camp) for several years now and of course he has also received support with the camp’s self help workshops etc. The main focus of the camp has been supporting as many veterans as possible over the years, and they have also helped build the camp. The camp has had its fair share of problems over the years but it is still in place to help veterans and families. This would be a great chance for NHPUK members and supporters to see some of the other work John Lawrence has been involved with, and this is a patriotic and charitable cause.

TICKETS FOR CONFERENCE
There will be no tickets for sale, but a donation will be asked for on conference day. We are always in need of more leaflets for our multiple local election campaigns, which are ongoing around the country. We have hopeful candidates in London, Greater Manchester, Bedford, Grimsby, Ormskirk and Somerset who all need leaflets. Most of all, donations will be spent on new leaflets.
Most people we will know personally but we will be asking for ID from people we don’t know and taking a log of who is on site for Health & Safety reasons and of course political infiltration. The camp has amenities such as toilets and shower. If you wish to stay you will need a tent. People can arrive on the day of the conference and leave in the evening if they wish. Or they can camp with a tent the night before on 22nd August and the night of the 23rd. A conference camp pass will be provided on arrival and will be required if requested throughout the event.
FOOD
A BBQ will be operational throughout the day with plenty of hamburgers and hotdogs. Other food will also be available. There are cooking facilities such as air fryer, barbecue, kettle, fridge and freezer. We urge everyone who comes to bring plenty of food and drink with them so we don’t go hungry or thirsty during the conference. We also do not promote drinking alcohol or taking drugs on the campsite unless prescribed.

SPEAKERS
Speeches will start after lunch at 2pm. We will have a short refreshment break at 4pm with the speeches continuing until 6pm when we will stop for food and drink. If there are any speakers left, we can carry on after the refreshment break. After the speeches are finished we can then socialise and connect with other members and supporters. Besides the NHPUK leadership speakers, including John Lawrence, Pat McGinnis and Stephanie Parker, we will have several other prominent members speaking such as James Crane, and Lee Bishop. There will be other surprise guest speakers throughout the day. Jo Dryson who runs the camp will also be giving a talk about the camp.
This is a great chance to meet the team face to face in very pleasant surroundings. If you have something you would like to speak about at our conference, let us know and we can consider your request. Each speech will be no longer than 30 minutes.
FAMILY FRIENDLY
The PTSD camp is situated on a small farm with plenty of animals. This can be exciting for children if any families wish to bring them. It is a great place of fresh air and nature.
